Please read this entire section - this is a 2 hour Zoom Class where you will have a front row seat to Alexandra's teaching. This also includes the yarn (2 mini's) to make the swatch for class, beads and crochet hook for the beading.
CLASS HIGHLIGHTS
If you're ready to take your colorwork to the next level by adding beads, this is the class for you! We'll start
by working on a swatch that combines both stranded knitting and beadwork. Step by step, you’ll learn how
to apply beads using a crochet hook and how to integrate them seamlessly into your colorwork.
We'll dive into reading charts that combine color and bead placement, and in the second half of the class,
you’ll begin designing your own color + bead chart. I hope the variety of samples I share will ignite your
creativity and inspire you to create your own one-of-a-kind, bead-embellished colorwork designs.
Class Prerequisites
• Students should be comfortable knitting in the round and with stranded colorwork
Homework
• Please complete the following homework prior to class:
“With yarn A and US 1/ 2.25mm circular needle or DPNs, cast on 72 sts using your preferred cast-on method.
Join to work in a round, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker for beginning of round. Work ribbing for
0.75”/2cm as follows: * k2, p2; rep from * around. Change to US 2/2.75mm circular needle or DPNs. Knit one
round.”
